Silver Wide Band Textured Ring - £75

Saturday 18th February 10am – 4pm  (3 spaces available)

In the morning you’ll work in copper learning how to cut and texture metal, find the correct size for your finger and decide on how your silver wide band textured ring will look.  You will learn how to texture the metal using various methods.  You will take away one silver ring and if you’re happy with it the copper sample ring which you made too.  Pictures from a previous ring making workshop are below:-

Enamel Jewellery - £75

Saturday 15th April 10am – 4pm  (4 spaces available)

In the morning you’ll get to experiment with some basic enamelling techniques, testing colours and effects.  Then in the afternoon you’ll create/design some jewellery pieces using the disc cutter, or hand pierced shapes to then use with enamels.  Copper is enamelled on, but you will be provided with silver findings for your pieces.

Make a Scene - £75

Saturday 6th May 10am – 4pm  (2 spaces available)

Working in copper you’ll learn how to texture, cut and shape the metal.  I will provide a variety of little scenes which you can choose from, or you can create your own design.  Next you will produce the pieces needed to create your chosen scene (mainly using copper although brass and silver can be used for highlights).   Once cut, textured, polished and patinated your pieces will be mounted onto wood creating a gorgeous ornament.

All Things Round - £75

Saturday 3rd June 10am – 4pm  4 spaces available)

Suitable for beginners as well as those with a little prior experience.  You will be given 20 cm of silver wire with which you can make anything circular.  For example you could make one bangle, several stacking rings, a pendant, or a pair of earrings (maybe two).

You will have the opportunity to use copper, brass and bronze wire to enhance/contrast with your silver – the main thing is that you’ll be making a lot of circles.  Pictures from January's course are below.
