Multilayered, copper, with brass, silver and sugar fired enamel, this brooch evokes the delight of getting away to the beech with your camper van.  
Inspired by the quote, 'Explore Dream Discover' from Mark Twain in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.  The initial quote refers to a boat but in my experience, the owners of camper-vans seem to suit the idea of exploring, dreaming and discovering too.
The brooch is approx 6.5 cm wide.  The camper-van scene is the top layer, copper with brass and silver highlights.  Behind this layer is the sugar fired turquoise enamel with the riveted sun. The claw settings on the copper bottom layer hold all three layers together.
