Hares is a 17cm diameter hand pierced copper bowl. Once pierced It is then enamelled at around 800 degrees to build up the layers of golden glass.
A couple of years ago my husband was training for the Snowdonia Marathon - I went out with him on my bike, carrying vital supplies for his run. Sadly he got away from me on one of Shropshire's longest and steepest hills (well it is quite long and quite steep!) Meanwhile whilst he ran on and I tried to ascertain where I was, I saw two boxing hares - hence the inspiration for this piece - so not a complete disaster.
All of my commissioned artworks are made to order and may vary slightly from the original. If there are any details which you'd like to be included in your piece then don't hestitate to get in touch - I really enjoy giving pieces a personalised touch.
